SIX STEPS TO REPENTANCE
- Feel Godly Sorrow
"For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin." (Psalms 38:18) - The first step of repentance is to recognize that you've committed a sin against God's commandments.
- Feel true sorrow for what you've done and for disobeying Heavenly Father.
- Feel sorrow for any pain you may have caused toward other people.
- Confess to God
"By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins—behold, he will confess them and forsake them." - Pray to Heavenly Father and be honest with him.
- Tell him of your sin(s).
- If necessary confess your sins to your pastor
- Ask for Forgiveness
"And it came to pass that I did frankly forgive them all that they had done, and I did exhort them that they would pray unto the Lord their God for forgiveness." - Pray to God for his forgiveness.
- Forgive others who have hurt you.
- Forgive yourself and know that God loves you, even though you've sinned.
- Rectify Problems Caused by the Sin(s)
"And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof." (Exodus 22:12) - Make restitution by fixing any problems caused by your sin.
- Problems caused by sin include physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual damage.
- If you can't rectify the problem sincerely ask forgiveness of those wronged and try to find another way to show your change of heart.
- Forsake Sin
"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13) - Make a promise to yourself and to God that you will never repeat the sin.
- Recommit yourself to obeying God's commandments.
- Continue to repent if you sin again.
- Receive Forgiveness
"Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more." - The Lord will forgive you when you truly repent with a sincere heart.
- Allow his forgiveness to come upon you.
- When you feel at peace with yourself you can know you are forgiven.
- Don't hold onto your sin and the sorrow you've felt. Let it go by truly forgiving yourself, just as the Lord has forgiven you.
Through we
are able to repent and be cleansed from our sins. I know that each of us can be
forgiven and receive peace, because I have followed these steps of repentance
and have felt the glorious feeling of peace that comes with sincere repentance.
BE CAREFUL OF "JUST ONE THING"!!!

2 “To the angel[a] of the church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lamp stands. 2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.
4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lamp-stand from its place. 6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Many people are living ignorance, not minding the so called "does not matter". In fact, I am also guilty of this. There are lots of things modernization has put in us which never glorify GOD.
As read in Revelation 2vs1-7, As regard doing the thing God likes, the church in Ephesus were found faithful. But of all their perfections, God still says He finds something against them. Perhaps they must have been ignorant of that "one thing"; They no longer operate in their FIRST LOVE.
FIRST LOVE-
Some ladies/women did not use put on weavon on their head, but now they have so much placed priority on it that when are not on weavon, they don't feel complete. The same thing applies to jewelries and cosmetics.
Someone one asked me: "sir, what of the use of mobile phones and internet, we were not using them before nooooow! Does that also mean the same thing with what you said earlier?"
I told him that GSM/mobile phone and internet are supposed to be used for propagation of business and gospel of Christ Jesus in a way that will glorify God.
Of all the labour of Moses on the Israelites, only anger obstructed him from entering into the promised land. In fact, that same anger nearly led him to hell, if not for God's mercy.
We seriously and consciously need to be careful of "JUST ONE THING" that could stand as our impediment to entering into our long-awaiting Heaven.
In Revelation 2vs5, we were made to understand that if no amend is made as regard turning to our FIRST LOVE for Him, we will not find it funny at all.
Please let us return to our FIRST LOVE!!!!

WHERE IS LOVE EXPRESSED?

In our previous reading, we were made to understand that to know whom LOVE is expressed to, we must possess the Holy Spirit which also releases divine wisdom. On this note, when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we will be directed to a right place and time. In addition, the kind of love one shows to people determines where one expresses them. For example, you can not be kissing your wife on the road or in a party in the name of 'showing love', that is outright loss of christian integrity. As regards GIVING, you can give anywhere, if you are led to give.
The reason many don't get reward for showing LOVE in return is, that they sow their LOVE on a fruitless ground. On the other hand, they refuse to sow LOVE cheerfully. You can't say you LOVE your wife still, you are having affairs with someone else. This obviously tells us that the man is sowing LOVE in a wrong place which will eventually put him in trouble.
Annanias and Saphira claimed they LOVE God, still they wanted to play smart on God-partial LOVE. As a result, they found themselves inside the grave.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT WE KNOW WHERE TO SHOW LOVE.
Everyone wants to be like JESUS CHRIST not walking in His secret. His secret is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
Throughout the ministry of Jesus Christ, He was showing LOVE unconditionally. Even a harlot benefited of His unconditional LOVE.
Many people dislike prostitutes to the extent of tagging them with different nick names. Instead of showing unconditional LOVE, they start to put hatred on them. WHAT A PITY ON THE SIDE OF THE SO CALLED CHRISTIANS.
What kind of Christianity do we practise if we can not show LOVE to the wanderers. They can be found in the beer palour, home of prostitutes, gay, lesbians,etc
HEAVEN IS SEEKING FOR THOSE PEOPLE MENTIONED ABOVE, ALSO LOOKING FORWARD TO US, THE SAVED SOULS TO SHOW UNCONDITIONAL LOVE TO THOSE THAT ARE IN DARKNESS.
PLEASE LET US ALL RECONCILE OURSELVES BACK TO OUR FIRST LOVE. (Revelation 2vs4)

TO WHOM LOVE IS EXPRESSED?

LOVE is a very strong word, so strong that when it is broken, one finds him/herself in the midst of the mysteries of life. Some will say the guy/lady had once broken my heart. That shows the strong-ability of LOVE.
Now, to whom do we show this LOVE? John 3vs16 says "for God so loved (unconditional) the world that He gave (unconditionally) His only begotten son, that whosoever believes (accept) in Him should not perish (lavish in hell) but have everlasting life.
In the scriptural passage we just read, we will notice that God was not specific on whom He gave His only begotten son (JESUS CHRIST) to, He said (......loved the world) meaning that LOVE is expressed to all.
However, when expressing LOVE to men, two things are very important lest we find our life mysterable. HOLY SPIRIT and DIVINE WISDOM. These two work together. When the former is absent, the latter will also be absent. They don't contradict each other. They work hand in hand. If one does not possess the former, the latter will not show up but if one posses the former, the latter will show up when one does not ask for it. Where ever the former is, the latter is always there. The question is DO WE POSSESS THE FORMER (THE HOLY SPIRIT)?
DO YOU KNOW THAT LOVE CAN BE SHOWN WRONGLY?
If one lives a life without the Holy Spirit, we will notice that we are just showing love to wrong people at a wrong time. In other words, LOVE shown wrongly is as a result of the absence of the Holy spirit.
Some people people are led by their carnal mind to render help (LOVE) to people, on the long run, they find themselves to blame. Some will out of ignorance say "but God commands us to show LOVE to every one, even our enemies", YES! He said so, but He also said in Proverb 4vs7 that wisdom is the principal thing in life. One thing about Holy Spirit is, that futuric casualty can be foreseen via the Holy Spirit and when that happens, He also will grant wisdom to control it.
DO WE KNOW THAT WHEN ONE ASKS FOR DIVINE WISDOM, ONE IS INDIRECTLY ASKING FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT.
James 1vs5 says, if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of Him who gives to all men (including females) liberally and does upbraid.
What does this scriptural passage tell us? If one does not want to LOVE wrongly, we should ask God for divine wisdom.
A lot of people venture into marriages without understanding the fundamental and concept of LOVE. These sets of people always find themselves in agony of marriage, living in mysteries of life.
SIN obstructs divine wisdom and Holy Spirit. ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND REPENT FROM YOUR SINS. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AND BE SAVED!

Do you know that many people find it difficult to LOVE PEOPLE, I'm talking about the true LOVE. They try to LOVE but they keep failing at trials. How can the set of people show LOVE without stress and thereby enjoy showing LOVE to people around them. Please, if you are among those who find it difficult to show unconditional LOVE to colleagues, school/room mate, staffs, spouse,etc you need to check yourself. Get this, that the first thing you need to do is to LOVE yourself. HOW?
The enemy of oneself, operating in hatred or anger makes it difficult for you to show unconditional LOVE. The knowledge about your existence never opened your inner-eyes, if so, you would know that you in person don't worth living on this planet earth but because of the grace of God through His unconditional LOVE preserves you hoping you will change someday. Until you come to your right senses and grab the knowledge of your existence, you will never be LOVED let alone showing LOVE to others.
Secondly, SELF-SPIRIT needs to be conquered so as to live a fulfilling life. You always ascribe things to yourself. You also believe you are the only one who knows all. So, the presence of this mind-set sets your spirit on antagonism of which you become the first victim.
LOVE does not flow in an angry and a furious heart. Nobody can talk or chat with you. Nobody can even call and if they call you it will be in fear. Your eyes are always red at people around you. In fact, not only will you not show LOVE, you won't be able to progress in all ramifications.
Most importantly, to exercise unconditional LOVE, one must study and meditate on the word of God. It is a guideline. Heroes of old from whom true LOVE passed through need to be studied and worked on.
Hebrew 13vs1 says we should let brotherly LOVE continue. Meaning that let unconditional (brotherly) LOVE continue.
IN MARRIAGE
Husband, irrespective of the wife's status or posture must LOVE her wife brotherly (unconditionally)
HOW DO YOU SHOW LOVE?
Make sure you always pray together, in the morning and at night. This will boost the spiritual trust in each of the spouse. If a husband/wife can trust his/her spouse spiritually, it will be much easier to show unconditional LOVE to each other.
Spouse must learn how to give quality gifts that will be useful to his/her partner
Spouse (wife) needs to cultivate the habit of undressing her husband when he comes back from work, but before that, he will need a hug/kiss then a glass or bottle of water. Cultivating this habit makes a lot of homes last long. Don't forget that when there is no spiritual trust in marriage, the couple will be living mysteries.
Spouse (wife) must know the best dish of her spouse. In fact, she must know the bests of her spouse. Also, she must know the best mood to approach her spouse.
NOTE: In marriage, women are the strong pillars of marriage. When the pillar starts having porosity, then the marriage will be very prone to divorce or living in marriage deficiency.

Life is never interesting without understanding the meaning of LOVE. Life always rests on LOVE that is why whoever wants to enjoy life must understand the meaning of LOVE. WHAT IS LIFE? Life is an existence. Hebrew 13vs8 tells us that there is a being who never changes, the one who has been in existence before the heaven was formed. Living in existence without the reference of the existence Himself makes our existence a mystery.
Back to LOVE, this is an unseen feeling to go beyond extra ordinary so as to satisfy others, not expecting anything in return. John 3vs16
LOVE can be expressed in divers of ways. It does not choose whom to LOVE. When you start choosing who to LOVE, it means the LOVE is conditional. DO YOU "LOVE" THE PROSTITUTE, SMOKERS, DRUG ADDICTS, FORNICATORS, ADULTERERS, IDOLATERS?
You don't need to LOVE what they do but LOVE them as an individual not seeing their sins but seeing them living a changed life.
For example, in my own case, I rarely see people who encourage me day by day so I build up an encouragement in me that gave me the grace to encourage and advise others also.
Many people out there are rejected, living mysteriously thereby falling into sins always. These people need our UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. The more we pray for them and show that JESUS LOVES them, the nearer salvation is bought to them.
Matthew 5vs14, tells us that we are the light of the world, meaning that we can not afford to hide ourselves. Let us show unconditional LOVE to people.
Some christians always pick quarrels with their neighbors, church members, colleagues at work. If you are among those so called 'christians' please repent and let people start seeing the light in you.

WHERE DID LOVE ORIGINATE FROM?
WHERE DID LOVE ORIGINATE FROM?
God is the originate of LOVE. In Genesis 1vs28-30, of all the creatures of God, man is the one giving dominion. Why did God not give dominion to animals? At least, they were created before man. The LOVE that God has for man is so enormous that He speaks to man one-one. I have never come across a situation where God was speaking to animals, at least they were created as man was also created.
Even after the fall of man, The LOVE still continues, though not as the first LOVE.
When God became unsatisfied with the way His creatures (man) are behaving, He had to come to the earth in the likeness of man in order to return the first LOVE back to us.
God, coming to the earth in form of man is by LOVE. It is like a president or a king visiting a pauper. It is because there is a deeper LOVE for the pauper. The fulness of the LOVE can thereby be enjoyed by anyone who is ready to submit absolutely and humbly to His ways.
Do you you know that the reason your life seems mysterious is because you fail to understand the origin of LOVE by accepting the LOVE into your life and live your life in LOVE.
In Luke 10vs30-35, the Samaritan showed LOVE to the man lying on the way. Today, people show LOVE in expectation of getting something back in return. If that should be the case, rain needs not to fall on most of us and sun needs not to shine on most of us.
It is quite expedient of us to correct our mindset by showing unconditional LOVE.
Luke 6vs38b explains that with the same measure we use for other shall also be used for us. In order words, we must be careful at the way we LOVE people. This is the reason some are only enjoying the GENERAL LOVE of God and not he SPECIAL LOVE.
The basic of the origin of LOVE is accepting the LOVE (JESUS CHRIST)
