WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT CHRISTIAN HOPE?

If our future is not secured and satisfied by God then we are going to be excessively anxious. This results either in paralyzing fear or in self-managed, greedy control. We end up thinking about ourselves, our future, our problems and our potential, and that keeps us from loving.
In other words, hope is the birthplace of Christian self-sacrificing love. That's because we just let God take care of us and aren't preoccupied with having to work to take care of ourselves. We say, "Lord, I just want to be there for other people tomorrow, because you're going to be there for me."
If we don't have the hope that Christ is for us then we will be engaged in self-preservation and self-enhancement. But if we let ourselves be taken care of by God for the future—whether five minutes or five centuries from now—then we can be free to love others. Then God's glory will shine more clearly, because that's how he becomes visible.
When God satisfies us so deeply that we're free to love other people then he becomes more manifest. And that's what we want above all.
What's the difference between a Christian definition of hope and the way it is usually used?
The word "hope" in ordinary English vocabulary is generally distinguished from certainty. We would say, "I don't know what's going to happen, but I hope it happens."
When you read the word "hope" in the Bible (like in 1 Peter 1:13—"set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ"), hope is not wishful thinking. It's not "I don't know if it's going to happen, but I hope it happens." That's absolutely not what is meant by Christian hope.
Christian hope is when God has promised that something is going to happen and you put your trust in that promise. Christian hope is a confidence that something will come to pass because God has promised it will come to pass.
How do we build our hope in God?
Hope is a portion or part of faith. Faith and hope, in my mind, are overlapping realities: hope is faith in the future tense. So most of faith is hope.
The Bible says, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). This implies that hope, like faith, is also strengthened by the word of God. Hope comes from reading his precious and very great promises and looking to Christ who purchased them.
I would sum it up like this: The most important verse in the Bible for me, probably, is Romans 8:32:

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Now that last part is hope producing! But it's grounded in the rock-solid statement that "God didn't spare his own son."
So the essence of what we look to in the Bible to build our hope is, What has Christ done for me in my sinful condition that enables me to know that I will not come in to judgment and condemnation and that all things are working together for my good? And the answer is that Christ died for me, rose again for me, and therefore all the promises of God are yes in him.
So let's look away from the circumstances that confront us, look to Christ, look to the promises, and hold fast to them. Hope comes from the promises of God rooted in the work of Christ.

YOU & "YOU" - CHOOSE THE ONE TO FOLLOW

READ: Romans 12:1-2

MEMORISE: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2).

It is very important that you know who is inside of you because for you to have a glimpse of any success or achievement in life, you need to know who is inside of you. Who is in you determines. Who you are and what you do. What you do determines your success/achievement. Your achievement determines your future and your future determines your footprint. Your footprint determines the success of the next generation coming after you.

The "YOU" in you is invisible, however manifests in you. In order word, it is a SPIRIT. You are a correct figure of what is in you. No one lives outside the real "YOU". The "YOU" is your MINDSET. WHAT KIND OF PERCEPTION do you have as regard your career, relationship, marriage, jobs, church, riches, wealth, etc
People have different concluded perception on different issues of life which in return is dictating and affecting their life. Some believe that only ladies who can use their body to get what they want or need are employed in banks, oil company, etc some ladies would say "All men are the same", so they treat every man that comes their way equally.

Roman 12vs2 tells us to RENEW our mind. THE MINDSET OF A MAN MAKES HIM~Ebenezer
There are three "YOU" - the body, spirit and soul. BODY (flesh) and SPIRIT controls the mindset of a man. To whom the SOUL is subjected to determines the mindset a man. The BODY and SPIRIT are always antagonizing each other. However, Romans 8vs16 says that the Spirit itself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God. OUR SPIRIT means OUR MINDSET! The body (flesh) always negates the spirit. The soul doesn't have any option; it subjects to whichever is available.

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. " (John 6:63).

If you listen to the flesh, it will only give you temporal reward which may lead to death and gnashing of teeth in hell but obeying the Holy Spirit gives you life and eternal reward. Galatians 5vs17-21 list out the works of the flesh and Galatians 5vs22-23 list out the fruit of the Spirit.
Devils speaks the flesh but God controls and speaks to the Spirit.

CHOOSE THE ONE TO FOLLOW!

HEAVENLY ADVICE

Memorise & Meditate: "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:9-11).

To enjoying the original blessing from God, you must be cautious of the way you mingle with unbelievers, including so-called Christians. In fact, so-called Christians are more dangerous to mingle with than any other person. They are always saying - it does not matter, God understands, wearing mini-skirt is just to look smart, wearing a cloth that opens the chest is just to be free from heat, listening and singing hip-hops is just for entertainment, at least God understands, going to clubs is just to keep worries off the heart. You must be careful of them.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us," (Hebrews 12:1).

The Bible tells us to do away with everything that will cause others to sin. If using wrist-watch will cause other fellow to sin, do away with it; if using gold jewellery will cause other fellow to sin, stop it!
Let them tag you a S.U or any name, if Jesus Christ went through hard time because of you and me and because of the glory that was set for Him in heaven (Hebrew 12:2b)

Remember, that because of the endurance of persecution of Christ, He was given a name that is above every other name, Crowns of crowns.
You need to beware of destiny destroyers (so-called Christians). Take your hears off distractions and listen to undiluted messages on God's word

ACTION POINT: expel yourself from every distraction and destiny destroyer as mentioned and get closer to God by studying and meditating on undiluted word of God

MOUNTAINS MELT

Memorise: "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth." (Psalm 97:5).

The manifest presence of God in some of His children is so negligible that it is no threat to demons and their activities, whereas, this was not the case with people like Peter, Paul and others. What a joy to know that sicknesses and diseases bow at His presence! That is why when you are sick, endeavour to be in His presence. By mountains we mean barriers, hindrances and long-standing problems. None of these is strong enough to resist His presence because He was there ever before they existed. Isaiah 90:1-2 reveals that God is older than the oldest problem or mountain facing us. A very formidable wall the children of Israel faced was the wall of Jericho. For other nations, when the battle reached Jericho and the gates of Jericho were shut, that was the end of the story. Following the same trend, the people of Jericho thought the cased as far as the battle with the Israelites was concerned.

On their part, the Israelites felt helpless. They too thought they had lost Jericho until the Lord gave specific instructions concerning the city. They marched around the city with the presence of God and at some point those massive walls came crashing down. once the walls were down, the inhabitants of Jericho were exposed, defeated and completely destroyed. No high wall of resistance can withstand His presence. No problem - no matter how formidable, can withstand His presence. Psalms 97:5 says when mountains stand before God, they melt like candle wax. From today, every problem in your life shall melt like candle wax in Jesus name. Psalms 104:32 says mountains cannot stand if touched by God's finger - they will burn. The Lord will touch the mountain before you and it will burn until it is completely consumed. Ask God to increase His presence in your life to the point that mountains will respond to you like. They respond to the Lord.

KEY POINT:

While the presence of God melts mountains, the absence of God's presence allows them to grow unchecked.

FRUITFULNESS AND ABUNDANCE

Memorise: "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow." (Deuteronomy 28:12).

Not only should you expect to live long as a child of God, you can also expect to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is a convent benefit of God's children which can affect every area of their lives. You can be fruitful spiritually, materially, academically, socially, physically and financially. Deuteronomy 7:12-14 reveals that God expects you to be fruitful in the fruit of your body, in your business and livestock. This implies that, because you are blessed by God, everything associated with you will carry a mark of that blessing. This is why you should have great expectations regarding fruitfulness. Are you struggling with barrenness? In the name of Jesus Christ, there shall be no more barrenness in your life, in your body and in your business. From now on, you shall be fruitful spiritually, mentally, financially, materially and in your body.

Similarly, according to the Deuteronomy 28:11-12, believers can expect supernatural abundance from the Lord. Remember, expectation should go ahead of you before the blessings are delivered. If you expect nothing, do not be surprised when you get nothing. Those without expectations demonstrate that they do not know what they want. When you read about God's powerful promises, expectations should rise up within you. The Lord says He will so bless you that you will become a creditor to nations. This abundance is not limited to finance. He can so bless you intellectually that you will be invited by different schools across the globe to impact knowledge in your field of study. As a minister of God, you can become the toast of churches all over the world. That little book or idea you are nursing can be in high demand across the globe. Today, with the presence of the internet, the world is truly a global village. You can showcase your goods on the net and start receiving requests from everywhere. The promises have been made but does your expectation match them?

PRAYER POINT:

Father, fulfil your promised abundance in my life. Let me swim henceforth in the abundance of your blessings
